Due to some tough economic times recently, my husband and I were actually considering giving up our Foxen club membership. Then we happened to open a bottle of the Toasted Rope Syrah. We made a little ceremony out of it because we thought it might be our last Foxen for some time. We each took a sip then looked at each other and said - at the exact same time - "We can't quit Foxen!" And so as long as Foxen continues making the amazing wines it does, we will be loyal club members! Thank you! -Barbara B, May 3, 2010
So I drank A LOT of wine the other day, from A LOT of different wineries along Foxen Canyon Road and in Los Olivos. And I have to say that Foxen was hands down the best. From the atmosphere-not stuffy, literally in a shack, awesome, lively pourers, and free fake tattoos of the Foxen logo...to the wine itself, which is the only wine I tasted that I actually bought. Foxen is a package deal and it was so good that I stopped at the new, bigger facility to taste some more!-Lauren H, January 18,2010 via Yelp.
We fully inteded to make it to at least three other wineries in the area that afternoon, but we had such a great time at Foxen that we ended up staying so long that we barely made one more! -Steve O, November 10, 2009.
Wineries that attempt to master innumerable, finicky grapes usually render my intrigue idle, but not Foxen. There’s a spunky flash to be found in each of their wines, as if they were comedic on the surface but proud & humble at the core.
